MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of St. John AME Church is to take whatever things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, and virtue, and make these things a reality, not only in our church, but also in our community.  We will accomplish this by taking the ministry of our Lord, Jesus Christ, to the people. 

God has called us to stand in the gaps of our communities and repair the broken places, heal the sick, love the unlovable and to open the doors of those that are held in bondage.

Those things, which ye have both learned, and received and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.     (Phil. 4:8-9) 

VISION STATEMENT

Think of all the things God has asked us to do and we have failed to even acknowledge, let alone do them. St. John is striving to be "the repairer of the breach and to help restore paths to dwell in" (Isaiah 58:12).

We want to be the people of God with a vision, for ..."where there is no vision the people perish."

"He has ordained the body...to go out in the spirit of power to turn the hearts of fathers to the children, the children who are disobedient to the wisdom of God, and make ready a people prepared for the Lord" (Luke 1:17).

St. John is a visionary for the Lord!
